report : How animation has changed over the years.

Traditional animation requires backgrounds which is seperate from the characters . Each frame is drawn then photographed and a film is put together. Computer animation does not requires that sort of thinks.
Computer animation requires more steps modeling the character ,rigging the bones of the character, texturing, layout and animation, such as character motion, camera moves, lighting and shading, composing-combining the elements,
At the end in both techniques the characters comes alive on screen.
traditional artists do a lot of work drawing the characters, takes more time to finish a project, and also they have to be talented artists.
In computer technique programs do the hard job for us ,easy to use,can be learned, does not requires an artist.2d animation films are done real well, and the audience seems to be like it,probably because they are more like colourful and also it`s easy to create a good story in 3D.A good example for 3D movie is "Finding Nemo".
3d animation can be done on a computer, called Flash Animation kind of depends on the skill of the artist.A good example for 2d animation is:"Fosters`s Home for Imaginary Friends".

Google is one of the websites that allows you to change the layout of its home page to suite your personal tastes. For example, if you travel alot a special search menu for train/bus times can be set as the home page, making it easier to search your times. Above  is a home page suited to their specific needs.
This it after i've edited it.

This is the standard bbc .co.uk website.

The BBC also allows you to do this. So for example, if you liked the news, it could be first on your homepage making all the breaking news easily accessible. It allows you to do this for a wide variety of things from the weather, childrens t.v to food.

animation techneques
Drawn animation: the oldest and historically the most popular form of animation(for example, Popeye theSailor and Betty Boop cartoons)often called traditional animation. Cut-out animation:using flat characters, props and backgrounds cut from materials such as paper, card, stiff fabric or even photographs. For example Charlie and Lola,or South Park.
Model animation or stop motion animation:also known as stop-action or frame-by-frame) is an animation technique to make a physically manipulated object appear to move on its own. The object is moved in small increments between individually photographed frames, creating the illusion of movement when the series of frames is played as a continuous sequence. Clay figures are often used in stop motion for their ease of repositioning. Stop motion animation using clay is described as clay animation or clay-mation. For example Vallace and Gromit -clay animation,Robot Chicken-stop motion animation.
Computer animation or computer generated imagery(CGI): is the art of creating movingimages with the use of computersan image is displayed on the computer screenand repeatedly replaced by a new image that is similar to the previous image, but advanced slightly in the time domain (usually at a rate of 24 or 30 frames/second). This technique is identical to how the illusion of movement is achieved withtelevision and motion pictures. For example Toy Story,Ice Age.
ROTOSCOPING:One classic use of traditional rotoscoping was in the original three Star Wars films, where it was used to create the glowing lightsaber effect, by creating a matte based on sticks held by the actors. To achieve this, editors traced a line over each frame with the prop, then enlarged each line and added the glow.

my group project

Our groups project was to make a tv ad for t4 on channel 4. The ad was to be based on Show Racism the Red Card. Our group which had Adam, Fiona, Abigail, Dawn, Emma, Ryan and I came up with the idea to have an asylum seeker to walk into a restaurant and to be refused a drink at the bar because of his race. Whilst a white guy hurled racial abuse at him, on his way out. When it cuts to a scene were the white guy is celebrating his team scoreing in a football match, thats when the camera zooms into the tv screen to show that it was infact the asylum seeker was the man who scored the goal. The storyline goes back to the white guy in the bar when the footballer walks back in and they shake hands and have a drink. Here are some pictures
I made the coloured footballer, i made it 1 cm to big so had to bin it then a replacement one was made. I made this with a wire armature and different coloured plasticine.

I made these out of plasticine.

The set was made with foamboard, the props were made from plasticine and dolls furniture. And we wallpapered it with dawns wallpaper from her house.
